A bit of history…
I started working as an apprentice for a large heating company called Harp Heating. Here, I learned how to install all types of domestic heating systems. I trained at Dartford College for two years for a City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation, after which I worked for a plumbing company for the next two years installing and repairing bathrooms and heating.
I then took on a large contract to refurbish 12 flats in the Crystal Palace area. After completing this project (on time and within budget) I then started installing new waste systems and complete pipe work carcassing for all the bathrooms and heating. The heating was all conventional heating with back boilers and front gas fires with cylinder cupboards for stored hot water.
I worked a further two years for a local contractor based in South West London, servicing, fault-finding and repairing all types of domestic heating systems in the social housing sector.
At the age of 25 yrs old, I set up my own plumbing and heating business. I employed two others and sometimes more for larger projects. We covered all types of domestic works and insurance work for big companies. Also, I gained a large contract with Transco Gas Suppliers.
At the age of 29 I decided I wanted to see the world so took a year out of the industry and went backpacking.
Since returning in 2002 I was employed for a major heating and plumbing company within the central London area. This work involved extensive further training within my field and all domestic heating and plumbing works from design, installation and servicing.
In April of 2004 I started “Aquaheat.org.uk” and have been growing the business ever since in all areas of domestic heating and plumbing. We deal with all the leading brands like Worcester Bosch, Valliant, Viessmann and Megaflo. We offer Gas safety certificates and Landlord certificates at very reasonable prices. All boiler breakdown work is at an agreed hourly rate and any installation work is at a set price.
