In this video, Gas Safe heating engineer Steve talks about a boiler installation carried out in Clapham South, SW4.

For this boiler installation in Clapham (SW4) an old Valliant boiler was removed and replaced with a new Worcester Bosch 25si Greenstar boiler. This is a combination condensing boiler and was fitted in the same location as the old boiler, but looks a lot sleeker than the old boiler which took up a lot more space. The pipework has also been redesigned for this boiler installation in Clapham.

This new Worcester Bosch boiler has an internal filling link that is situated underneath the boiler, as opposed to the silver hose at the bottom. There is also a control panel on the front of the boiler, that can be used to set the central heating (Steve has set this to number five). The boiler has also got a separate control for the hot water, which can be set at whatever the customer prefers.

This is a pressurised system and the engineer has filled and flushed the system and put a chemical inhibitor into the system (which is logged on the front of the boiler along with the type of product that was used). The boiler was then commissioned, heat tested and the timer was set on the boiler according to the customers’ preferences.

The new boiler on this installation was both supplied and fitted by an Aquaheat installer and on this installation in Clapham, the plumber has also included a Worcester Bosch DT20RF (an additional extra), which is a programmer with a wireless stat. It is worth mentioning that the DT20RF is included under the warranty, which is offered on all Worcester Bosch Installations. Aquaheat are able to offer an extended warranty on all Worcester Bosch boiler installations as they are Worcester Bosch approved installers.

Once this boiler installation was completed, the heating engineer then registered the installation with Gas Safe who then send a building control certificate to the home owner to verify that the boiler has been installed correctly and that the gas pressure is correct. This is done for all Aquaheat.org.uk boiler installations.

I contacted Steve on Wednesday evening, he was at my door next morning at 8.45 and did a great job repairing a leaking boiler and necessary repairs to cure the constant drop in pressure and need to fill the system regularly. He also performed the annual service. He even came back on Saturday morning to check it was all ok as there was still a very slight drip from the air pressure vent. The boiler is now purring sweetly. Steve is very a knowledgeable and accredited professional. I have no hesitation recommending Steve and he is reasonably priced compared to others I have used in the past who have not done such a good job.

Steve at Aquaheat did an excellent job repairing my 6 year old Worcester Bosch boiler which had been ‘written off’ by Putney Plumbers a few days previously. He spent an hour or so repairing and then servicing the boiler and charged a very reasonable £192 compared with the £3000 option recommended by Putney Plumbers. Stephen has been a lifesaver since we moved into our flat in south London. He has always had great availability, and works quickly when he arrives, Stephen explains clearly the issues he diagnoses, and the work that will be required. Stephen has fixed both our hot water and central heating, as well as fixing a bath plug that had become stuck, on all occasions he was able to attend to the issue same day, or next day at the latest! If you are reading this review, I should hope you never need to use Stephen's services, however, should you find yourself without hot water, Aquaheat will get things moving again!
